IVR confirms finalists in the Jack Ovenden Award 2018
The finalists in the AA sponsored Jack Ovenden Award for ‘Outstanding Student of the Year’ 2018 have been confirmed by the Institute of Vehicle Recovery (IVR).
This annual award invites trainers to nominate students who they consider have not only excelled in training but also are believed to be good ambassadors and potential role models for those looking to enter the industry.
This year’s finalists, in alphabetical order, are Darren Ferguson of GT Recovery, Meath, Ireland – Emma Buckley of the Mansfield Group – Michael Harden of iRescue24 – Paul Grainger of Furness Cars and Commercials, Cumbria – Samantha Charles of Highfield Garage and Recovery, Exeter.
All finalists will receive a complimentary overnight stay, for themselves and their spouse or partner, and tickets to the Gala Dinner where the award will be presented by IVR president Nick Ovenden FIVR and a representative from the AA.
The IVR AGM and Gala Dinner will be held on Saturday 3 March 2018 at the Crowne Plaza, Stratford-upon-Avon. Only members of the Institute are eligible to attend the AGM in the afternoon but all are welcome to the social side of the weekend.
